Mary Helen DeLacey, 87, of 8964 West 5th Street Road, Owensboro, died Friday, August 6, 2004 at her sons home in Birk City. She was born April 1, 1917 to the late Kendrick and Annie Jarboe Coomes in Daviess County. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, a homemaker, and enjoyed working in her flower garden and playing with her pet dog, Tinker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Frank DeLacey, who died April 15, 1980.
Survivors include one son, John Leroy DeLacey of Birk City; one daughter, Mary Frances Fogle and her husband, Thomas E.; four grandchildren, Mary Beth Fogle, Laura Fogle Ly, Timothy Fogle and Amy Fogle; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Norman Coomes of Knottsville, and one sister, Euphrsia Johnson of Owensboro.
Services will be 6:00 PM Monday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 PM at the church. Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
