Mary Anna Mitchell Crenshaw, 71, of Owensboro, formerly of Melbourne, Florida, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born November 19, 1934, she was the daughter of the late William Warner and Mary Frances Mitchell; graduated from Calhoun High School; was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Melbourne where she was secretary of the Adult Bible Class; a member and past president of the Gideon Auxiliary, Melbourne Camp; enjoyed sewing, crafts, and watching golf, basketball, and football on television; and was an avid UK fan. Mrs. Crenshaw was preceded in death by her husband, James Eugene Crenshaw; a brother, William Lindley Mitchell, and sisters, May Mitchell, Dorothy Cline, and Judith Lou Miller.
Survivors include a brother, James (and Georgia) Mitchell of Owensboro; sisters, Sue Milby of Greensburg, KY, Betty (and Delmar) Sosh of Utica, and Pat Sosh of Owensboro; a step-daughter, Gloria Westerfield and step-granddaughter, Jacqueline (and Jeff) Smith of Cleveland, TN, step-grandson, William O. (and Pepper) Westerfield II and a step-great-grandson, William Jacob Westerfield all of Chattanooga, TN; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends, including Judy and Jody Christian and Brenda and Rudy Howard of Owensboro.
Services are 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Glenn Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Shouse officiating. Entombment will be in Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, FL. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8 P.M. and after 10 A.M. on Saturday.
