Mary Lovonne Cooper

Mary Roberts Cooper, 77, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, August 10, 2008 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born August 19, 1930, Mrs. Cooper was the daughter of the late George and Mamie Roberts; was a homemaker; and was a devoted member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed country music and spending time with friends and family. Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by daughters, Betty Howard and Margie Boyd, a son, Sherman Cooper, Jr.; a brother, David Roberts, and sisters, Martha Roberts and Imogene Cooper.

She is survived by children, Tim Cooper , Bonnie Pierce, Peggy Cooper, and Ruth Harris all of Owensboro; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and sisters, Margaret Cox, Hazel Mattingly, and Thelma Sue Cox all of Owensboro.

Services are 12 noon Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Glenn Funeral Home with Dr. Dennis McFadden officiating followed by burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9 a.m. on Thursday.
