Mary Teresa Carrier-Orr

Mary "Teresa" Carrier-Orr, 51, of 5600 Ashyburg Road, Slaughters, Kentucky died Friday, February 6, 2009 at her home. She was a native of Henderson, KY., was a homemaker and an avid gardener.

Her mother; Ida Catherine Carrier preceded her in death in 2003, as well as two brothers; John Stewart and Joseph Carrier.

Surviving are; her husband; Danny Orr of Slaughters, her children; Jennifer (Neil) Pestka of Zion, Illinois, Angela Dossett , Zachary and Darrin Dossett all of Henderson, Ky., step-children; Miranda (Eric) Hall of Mt. Carmel, IL., and Scott Orr of Evansville, IN., five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; her father; Frank Lee Carrier of Sacramento, KY., mother-in-law; Florence Orr of Alvion, IL. Two sisters; Cathy Knight and Karen Carrier of Henderson, KY., and a brother Michael Carrier of Sacramento, KY.

Friends will be received at a gathering at the home of her daughter, Angela, at 3107 State Route # 136 West, Henderson, Kentucky on Thursday, February 12, 2009 from 3 to 7 p.m. The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Hanson Fire Department, Hanson, Kentucky in her memory.
