Mary Ernestine Isbill Stafford Camp

Mary Ernestine Isbill Stafford Camp, 88, of 624 E. 23rd. St., Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Harborside Healthcare Center. She was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Thomas Jefferson & Mary Jesse Birkhead Gerteisen, was a member of Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church, and was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, and loved to dance and play cards. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Walter Lewis Isbill, Sr. on May 10, 1984, her 2nd husband, Paul Stafford in October 1996, and her 3rd husband, J. W. Camp in 2004, four children including two in infancy, Joseph Ernest Isbill in 1949 and Mary Bernadette Isbill in 1959, and Mary L. Isbill Roby in 1998 and Theresa Lorinda Settles in Dec. 2004, and three brothers, Jacob, John, & William Gerteisen and a sister, Marie Dalton.

Surviving are three sons, Tom Isbill and Walter L. Buck Isbill, Jr. and wife Mary, all of Knottsville, and Robert A. Isbill & wife Melody of Owensboro, three daughters, Elizabeth A. Libby Johnson & husband Tom of Philpot, Nancy Meisenhelder & husband Steve of Centertown, and Charlotte J. Isbill of the Bishop Soenneker Home at Knottsville, a son-in-law, Bob Settles of Owensboro, a stepson, Scott Stafford of Owensboro, a stepdaughter, Jane Lee of Owensboro, 22 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, and a sister, Theresa Evalyn Hardesty of Owensboro, and numerous nieces & nephews.

Services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, July 18 at St. Williams Catholic Church with burial following in St. Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday with prayers at 7:00 P.M. and after 8:30 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
