Mary Morehead Branson

Mary Morehead Branson, 96, of One Park Place, Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2003, at Hermitage Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Calhoun, Ky., but had lived in Owensboro since 1947. She graduated from Western Kentucky University and taught 18 years in the Kentucky Public School System, the last 10 years in Owensboro. She was working on her Masters Degree from Indiana University when she decided to resign from teaching and go to work for the S. W. Anderson Co. as a buyer and department manager She was there for 25 years before retiring in 1972. She was a charter member of the former Temple Baptist Church which is now Crosspointe Baptist Church since 1955. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Strother Branson in 1974.
She is survived by several cousins.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 11, 2003, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 10, and after 8:30 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kentucky Baptist Childrens Homes, c/o William K.
