Mary Evelyn Rhodes Barrett

Mary Evelyn Rhodes Barrett, 96, of Jeffersontown,KY, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019. She had retired as a nurse aid at Christopher East and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. She loved dancing and being active with her Senior's Club.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leo Barrett; children, Beverly Ann, Judy Marie, and twins, Peter and Paul; Also preceding her were her parents, Noel and Ora Rhodes; brother, William Ignatius "Nish" Rhodes; and great grandson, Joseph Barrett Bicker.
She is survived by her children, Rose Hamilton (Jake), Richard L. Barrett (Beth), Robert N. Barrett (Christine), Mary Eileen Heffelmire (Ron), Ronald J. Barrett (Louise), and James A. Barrett (Donna); 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and siblings, Bernard, Joseph, Laura, and Shirley Rhodes.
Visitation will be Monday 2-8pm at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road. Funeral Mass Tuesday 10am at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3705 Stone Lakes Drive with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
