Mary Ann Majors, 92, passed away at Creekwood Place in Russellville, Ky on April 10, 2024.  Born in Evansville, IN December 2, 1931, she raised her family and resided in Owensboro until her illness, when she moved to Elkton, KY to be with her daughter.  Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Hallet and Almeda Lovell of Evansville, three brothers, two sisters, and husband of forty years, James Edward Majors, Sr. 

She is survived by daughter, Pam (Keith) Fuller of Elkton, KY; sons, Jimmy (Teresa) Majors of Owensboro and Bobby (Cris) Majors of Nolensville, TN; grandchildren, Kris (Alan) Wink, Jennie (Alan) Hale, Bridget (Troy) Robinson, Luke (Tessa) Fuller, Marty (Terry) Moore, James Majors, Anna Majors, Kara Majors, Jeremy Green, Leslie Green, Shea (Chris) Brady, Brock Majors, Kennedy Majors; great-grandchildren, Karissa (James) Ratliff, Kari (Matt) Brake, Jayme Wilcox, Haylee (Joe) Smith, Lucas Wink, Colton Wink, Addie Hale, Austin Hale, Jayde Robinson, Zack Robinson, Devyn Fuller, Raylynn Fuller, Diamond Canary, Leland Smith, Seth Majors, Bailey Green, Jordan Green, Zack Green, Brookelyn Green, Zoe Floyd, Sean Brady and great-great-grandchildren, Jaylynn Thomas, Briley Glover, Carson Dill, Elijah Brake, Benjamin Brake, Miles Ratliff, Austin Ratliff, Kiera Hale, Dexter Hale.

Mary Ann worked at Old National Bank and became a homemaker when her children were born.  Later in life, she worked at Walmart in the snack bar and then as a door greeter for twenty-one years.  She loved meeting people.  

She was a gentle woman who loved and was devoted to her family.  Mary Ann loved the Lord and was of the Baptist faith.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed camping, watching the birds, nature, and history.  She was also active in politics and always voted, but most of all, she loved her family gatherings and being surrounded by those she loved.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.  Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, and 12:00 p.m. Monday until the time of service, at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Brooke, Alicia, Betsy, and Sharon, who took special care of Mary Ann throughout the last years of her life on earth.
