Marvin E. Rushing

Marvin E. Rushing, III, 75, of Owensboro, died Sunday, December 22, 2013, at the Heartford House. He was born in Owensboro to the late Marvin E. Rushing, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Hays Rushing, he served in the United States Army, and was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church. Marvin was president of Livingston Laboratories, Inc and JJS, Inc and had been past president of the Jaycees.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Shirley Elder Rushing; children, Rick Rushing and his wife Teresa of Lexington, Sharon M. Rone of Owensboro and Laura E. Eaton and her husband Darrin of Hartford; grandchildren, Brandi Rone, Adam Rone, Jamie Robertson and her husband Troy, Drew Rushing, Logan Eaton and Julia Eaton; great-grandchildren, Peyton Warren, Ethan Warren, Preston Rone, Ally Robertson, and Leland Robertson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at Immaculate Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, and after 11 a.m. on Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Heartford House.
