Marvin E. Reynolds

Marvin E. Reynolds, 83, of Owensboro died Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Specialty Select Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born in Owensboro to the late Russell Reynolds and Pearl Moore Reynolds Howard. Marvin was the owner and operator of 10 Marvin's Markets in the surrounding area, however, his greatest love was Marvin's Fireworks which began in 1973 and operated in both Kentucky and Indiana. He was a carpenter, loved remodeling, and was a very generous and kind man. He was also preceded in death by his wife Alice Reynolds and a son Marvin "Mogy" E. Reynolds, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Reynolds; children, Cynthia Bartley (Dennis) of Owensboro, Wayne Reynolds (Sally) of Owensboro, Janice Wilson (Eric) of Linton, IN, Jacqueline Bivens of Owensboro, Laurie Drake of Owensboro, David Vinson (Debbie) of Lexington, Royce Vinson, Jr. of Owensboro and Grace Leon of Owensboro; 27 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Noon on Thursday at St. Stephen Cathedral. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at after 10 a.m. on Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Prayers will be said at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
