Marvin Holder

Marvin "Buddy" Holder, Jr., 67, of 3222 E. 10th. St., Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at his home. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Marvin and Beulah Ward Holder. He was retired from National Southwire Aluminum as a carpenter. He attended Pleasant Valley Community Church and enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, woodworking, and was an avid U. K. fan. He was also formerly a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Josh Holder on May 26, 1990 and two brothers, Clarence and Tom Holder.

Surviving are his wife of six years, Marilyn Holder, two sons, Robbie Holder and wife Belva of Owensboro and Ricky Holder and wife Selina of Spottsville, a stepson, Andy Coon, at home, a stepdaughter, Kim Knight of Lewisport, five grandchildren, Cody, Jesse, Terry, Jake, and Travis Holder, two stepgrandchildren, Kaxton Knight and Kiera Gammon, and a great granddaughter, Jayci Lee Holder of Owensboro, a brother, Herman Holder and wife Shannon of Reed, and two sisters, Mary "Pettie" Holder and Ann Staples and husband Joe, all of Owensboro.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 28, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
