Marvin Edward Edge, 77, of Owensboro, died Friday, April 25, 2003 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Ohio County native was the son of the late Ivan and Pruda Cambron Edge . He attended Bellevue Baptist Church; was retired from Green River Steel; and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by two brothers William Bill Edge and Gesta Edge and a sister, Maida Ralph.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margaret Huff Edge; three sons, Terry and Sally Edge of Charleston, WV, Ronnie and Carla Edge of Philpot, and Jeff and Misty Edge of Stamping Ground, KY; eight grandchildren, Jason Edge, Ryan Edge, Beth Colegrove, Katrina Colegrove, Blake Edge, Kelsey Edge, Scotty Edge, and Caitlin Edge; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Cora Greer of Whitesville, Dolly Nolan of Nashville, TN, and Peggy Woolen of Philpot; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M. on Monday and after 11 A.M. on Tuesday.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
