Marvin Barnett

Marvin Barnett, 71, of 1557 Yelvington-Knottsville Road, Maceo, KY died Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. Born in Ohio County, a son of the late Ira and Agnes Evans Barnett, he was a member of Yelvington Baptist Church and retired from Barmet of Rockport, IN. Mr. Barnett was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and enjoyed coon hunting and spending time with his family.

His wife of 51 years, Eva Jean Barnett, a son, Roy Barnett, four daughters, Patty Horn, Donna Wright, and Delynn Henson, all of Owensboro, and Bonnie Castellanos of Enterprise, AL, a sister, Katie Baker of Ozark, AL, thirteen grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren survive him.

Services are 2:30 p.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home, where visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be in the Field of Honor at Owensboro Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
