Marvin Lee Armstrong, 86, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, October 14 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky surrounded by his family. Mr. Armstrong was born June 2, 1931 in Muhlenberg County to the late Ernest and Beulah Armstrong. Marvin served his country in the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1952. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by a son, Michael Armstrong, a great grandson, Noah Settles, and a sister, Imogene Carter.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 44 years, Faye W. Brown Armstrong; daughter, Lynda Tabor and husband Tom; son, Jimmie Brown and wife Kathy all of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Cyndi Settles (Nick), Christie Fogle (Eric), Carrie Payne (Clay), and Justin Brown (Bonnie); ten great grandchildren, Haley, Madison, and Lexie Payne, Hadley and Jaxson Fogle, Ava, Adalyn, and Alexandra Settles, Cami and Jake Brown; and niece Carol Ann Ezell (Pete).
At the request of Mr. Armstrong, there will be no visitation or services.
