Marvadean T. Hunter

Marvadean Hunter, 87, of Owensboro passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Hillcrest Nursing in Owensboro. She was born on December 13, 1925 in Daviess Co., KY to the late James and Lula Duncan Thornberry.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack P. Hunter who passed in 2009.

Marvadean enjoyed her life as a homemaker tending to the needs of her family. Among her many interests was playing the piano and organ, needlework and growing African Violets and Orchids.

Surviving is a son, James Hunter ( Diane) of Owensboro; her daughter, Marva Sammons of Estero, FL; her sister, Ann Mroz of La Grange, KY; four grandchildren, Shannon Luttrell and Brandi Hayden ( Matt) both of Owensboro, Krista Kral of New York, Brittany Sammons of Miami,; four great grandchildren, Camille Luttrell, Lily and Evie Hayden, Julian Kral. As well as two special nieces; Judy Vermillon of LaGrange, KY and Linda Hunt of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held from 5:00p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday.
