Martine Elizabeth Crowe Warren, 94, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Heartford House in Owensboro. She was born in Owensboro, Ky., on January 18th, 1923 to the late William R. Crowe and Bertha F. Zoll Crowe. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Owensboro.
Martine grew up in rural Daviess County and was a graduate of St. Francis High School. She worked at General Electric in Owensboro during World War II and up until 1947. She retired after working for 20 years in food services at Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School, Estes Middle School and Tamarack Elementary School, all in Owensboro. Martine was also a wonderful cook at home who loved preparing big meals for family and spending long hours out in her flower and vegetable garden.
Martine was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Odie B. Warren.
Surviviors include a daughter, Karen Aud and her husband, Dr. William J. Aud of Owensboro; two sons, Dr. Stephen Warren and his wife, Nadine of Towson, Maryland; and Alan Warren of Owensboro; a brother, Doug Crowe and his wife, Jerry of Owensboro; a sister, Anna C. King and her husband, Billy of Owensboro; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at 12pm on Saturday February 25th, 2017 at Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:30 am until time of service. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
