Martine Sandefur

Martine Sandefur, 79, of 2324 Fairview Drive, Owensboro, died Saturday, January 25, 2003 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born in Daviess County, Kentucky on November 27, 1923 the daughter of Horace and Myrtle Powell Cecil.

Mrs. Sandefur retired from General Electric Co., and was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, J. T. Sandefur; two daughters, Sandy Goodman and Donna Sympson, both of Owensboro; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Dr. Greg Faulls. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2003 and after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Shriners Hospital for Children, 1900 Richmond Ave., Lexington, KY 40502.
