Martine Blandford Orvin

Martine Blandford Orvin, 93, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at the Hermitage Manor. Born March 2, 1911, Mrs. Orvin was a homemaker and member of the Lewis Lane Baptist Church. Mrs. Orvin enjoyed gardening, cooking, and her church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Hugh Orvin, Jr.

She is survived by a daughter, Martha Orvin Pigg of Curdsville; three grandchildren, Carol Carter, Walter Shearer IV, and Martha Page; and five great-grandchildren, Ashley Payne, Walt Shearer V, Sarah Marie Shearer, Quincy Page and Halsey Page.

Funeral services are 12 Noon Friday, November 26, 2004 at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 A.M. to Noon

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Baptist Children's Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice.
