Martha Virginia Perkins Tynon

Martha Virginia Perkins Tynon, 95, passed away March 19, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Born October 2, 1917 in Henderson, KY she was the daughter of the late Scora and Halle Perkins; was the oldest of 7 children; and was married to Joe Dean Tynon for 49 years prior to his death in 1996. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Jane Akers, Romanda Bamberger, Mary Lou Unruh, Charles Perkins, Jonelle Shields and Ruth Nave.

Mrs. Tynon is survived by sons, Dwight Tynon and Wayne Tynon, daughters-in-law, Ellen Tynon and May Tynon; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 22 in the chapel of Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 pm. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory prior to the service.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Mercy Hospital, Ashton Place, and Willowbrook Retirement for their compassion and care in Martha's last years.
