Martha Lee Russell Schmidt

Martha Lee Russell Schmidt, 81, of 2648 Lydia Dr., Owensboro, died Sunday, May 11, 2003 at the Hermitage Manor Nursing Home. The Uniontown native was a retired secretary, having worked at Kentucky Wesleyan College, General Electric and the Owensboro Board of Education. She was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church and enjoyed bridge, puzzles, cooking, and loved the water. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Fred J. Schmidt in September of 2002.

She is survived by two sons, Mark Schmidt of Owensboro and F. Michael Schmidt of Covington; a daughter, Claudia Marie Nolan of London, KY; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Jimmy Russell of Franklin, TN; and a sister, Sr. Louellen Russell of the Sisters of Charity in Louisville.

Funeral services are 1 P.M. Thursday, May 15, 2003 at Immaculate Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call at Glenn Funeral Home from 4-8 P.M. on Wednesday and after 10 A.M. on Thursday. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 6:30 P.M. on Wednesday.
