Martha Elizabeth McCain Hardesty Mattingly

Martha Elizabeth McCain Hardesty Mattingly, 86, of the Carmel Home, went to be with Jesus Sunday, January 28, 2018. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She had the sweetest smile.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James C. Hardesty and her second husband, Joseph E. Mattingly, her brothers, Wilson Lee McCain and Hank McCain and his wife Sharon, one daughter-in-law, Kathy Hoover Hardesty, and one brother-in-law, Lyman D. Clark.

She is survived by her seven children: Connie (Larry) O'Bryan, Kay (Carl) O'Bryan, Steve Hardesty, Chris (Kathy) Hardesty, Joe (Karen) Hardesty, Doris Hardesty, and David (Jenny) Hardesty; sisters, Rosemary Mattingly (Joe) and Zena Clark; sister-in-law, Ronda McCain; 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Martha's family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Carmel Home in thanksgiving for the love and care of Martha.

A funeral Mass will be 9:30 am Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at The Carmel Home. Visitation will be from 2 until 7pm at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with prayers at 6:30. Visitation Wednesday will be from 8:30 until 9:30 at the Carmel Home. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery
