Martha Sadler Hamilton, 97, of 1410 Pearl St., Owensboro, died Thursday, July 4, 2002 at St. Margaret's Hospital in Hammond, Ind. The Ohio County native was a member of Bells Run Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was retired from the Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital where she was a cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Hamilton in 1962.
She is survived by a son, Luther Hamilton of Owensboro; two daughters, Kathlyn Hale of Owensboro and Nora Faye Mahler of Hammond, Ind.; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 1 P.M., Monday, July 8, 2002 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in the Bells Run Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M. on Sunday, July 7 and after 9 A.M. on Monday, July 8, 2002.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Kosair Chilren's Hospital in Louisville.
