Martha Faye Roberts Cox

January 21, 1940 — March 26, 2008

Martha Faye Roberts Cox, 68, of Owensboro died Wednesday, March 26 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Hancock County, a daughter of the late George C Roberts and Mayme Patterson Roberts, she was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed country music, playing the guitar, and loved flowers and her pets. She was preceded in death by her former husband W.L. Cox, a daughter, Rita Faye Miller, a granddaughter, Heather Dawn Cox, her brother, David Clifton Roberts, and a sister, Emogene Cooper.

Survivors include her sons, B.J. Cox, Jerry Glenn Cox, and Ricky Cox, her daughter, Angela Cox, and her sisters Thelma Cox, Margaret Cox, Hazel Mattingly, and Mary Cooper, all of Owensboro; 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 2 step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Friday. A service of committal will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Chapel of Peace at Rosehill Cemetery, where burial will follow.
