Martha Greathouse Brumley

Martha Greathouse Brumley, 66, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday January 18, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born March 11, 1958, in Owensboro, to the late John and Dorla Epperson Brooks. Martha retired from Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, where she worked in housekeeping from 2001-2022. She loved her family and friends dearly. Martha enjoyed going out to eat, especially to Cracker Barrel with her friends from work, Patty and Norma. She also loved to spend time working in her flower beds and watching birds with her dog, Levi. 

Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her first husband, James Greathouse; her second husband, John Brumley; two daughters, Sue Hale and Barbara Walker; a son, Roger Greathouse; and a brother, Ronnie Brooks.

Martha is survived by daughters, Angie Brooks and Sara Keen; three sons, Charles (Stephanie) Greathouse, Ricky (Rosey) Greathouse, and Albert (Janell) Greathouse; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Cain, Gerry (Connie) Brooks, Teresa Brooks, Logan Brooks, and Roy Brooks; and her special four-legged friend, Levi.

The funeral service for Martha Brumley will be at 2 p.m. Friday January 24, 2025, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
