Martha Sells Absher
January 9, 1929 — February 22, 2017
Martha Sells Absher, 88, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born in Princeton, Kentucky to the late Luther and Mary Patterson Sells.
Mrs. Absher worked as a bookkeeper for many years at her husband's business and other places in Paducah. She retired in 1999. Martha was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Martha is survived by a daughter, Deborah Absher of Paducah; her sons, Robert Absher and his wife Theresa of Owensboro and Stephen Absher and his wife Karen of Irvine, California; grandchildren, Keith Absher of Lexington, Kevin Absher of Owensboro, Jessica (Joe) Burgess and Kerrie (Jim) Collison, both of Irvine, CA; a great-grandson, Jack Burgess; a brother, Phillip Sells of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and two nieces.
The visitation will be Sunday, February 26 from 1 until 5 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Private burial will be at Cedar Hills Cemetery in Princeton, Kentucky.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Western Kentucky 3419 Wathen's Crossing Owensboro, KY 42301.
