Marsha Lynn Roos

Marsha Lynn Roos, 64, of Gentryville, IN passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in Evansville. She was born on November 14,1948 in Owensboro to John and Edith Davis Shourds.
She is preceded in death by her father, John Shourds and her sister, Michelle Alexander.
Marsha received her undergraduate degree from Kentucky Wesleyan College and her masters at the University of Evansville. She was employed by North Spencer County Schools where she taught PE and Health for the David Turnham Educational Center for over 37 years. Among her many interests Marsha enjoyed cooking for her family, planting flowers in her garden, antiquing, and KET programs. She especially enjoyed caring for her animals.
She is survived by her husband of over 41 years, Charles Roos; her daughter, Andrea Roos both of Gentryville; her mother, Edith Davis Shourds as well as a sister and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She also will be missed by her chocolate lab, Abby; her two German Shephards, Rex and Angel; her flat haired black retriever, Sam; her youngest dog, Precious and her loving cat, Tippy.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Monday at the Owensboro Memorial Gardens Chapel with entombment following services. Visitation will be held from Noon until 1:30PM on Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
