Mark Anthony Pierce

Mark Anthony Pierce, 43, of Owensboro, passed away December 19, 2014 at his home. He was born October 23, 1971 in Owensboro to the late Lawrence and Mary Bullington Pierce. Mark was employed most of his life as a landscaper and gardener (growing things and building landscapes were his passion). He enjoyed riding with his dad on long distance runs in the semi and took great pride in the amount of the United States that he had seen. Mark loved fishing and camping and enjoyed sharing those things with his children. He enjoyed hard rock and heavy metal music and was thrilled when he was able to share that with his children as they got older by chaperoning them to many concerts.

Mark was preceded in death also by his brother, Matthew Alan Pierce and his grandparents, Lawrence and Lena Pierce and Mose and Margaret Bullington.

Surviving are his sons, Trevor and Mark Alexander Pierce; daughter, Emily Pierce; honorary daughter, Desiree Clark; sisters, Tracy and Mary Alice Pierce all of Grandview, IN; companion, Tammy Williams; uncle, Larry Bullington both of Owensboro; ex-partners, Melissa Pierce of Grandview, Christina Martinez and Wendy Shupp both of Owensboro; numerous cousins; and countless friends.

Services will be 2 pm Monday, December 22, 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Sunday and after Noon Monday at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.glennfuneralhome.com
