Mark C. Jones

Mark C. Jones, 79, of Philpot, died Friday, December 15, 2006 at Owensboro Medical Health System. The Daviess County native was born June 23, 1927 to the late David Lee and Emma R. Griffith Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of Karns Grove Baptist Church and a truck driver for Can-Tex Industries for over 25 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Spurgeon Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Nina L. Philpot Jones, his sons and daughters-in-law, Stuart H. and Karen Jones of College Park, GA, Michael D. and Patsy Jones of Owensboro, Mark W. and Sharon Jones of Washington, DC, and Tracy T. and Denese Jones of Owensboro, his daughters and son-in-law, Karon K. and Jeff Palmer and Sharon K. Miller, all of Owensboro, his brother and sister-in-law, Howard K. and Nina Jones of Owensboro, thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at Glenn Funeral Home with Bro. Craig Bratcher and Pastor Jason Houston officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 18 and again on Tuesday from 12:00 until service time.
