Mark Albert Hagan

Mark Albert Hagan, 69, of Owensboro died Friday, June 18, 2004 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born April 15, 1935 in Daviess County, he was retired from the United States Army and was a member of the Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church. Mr. Hagan retired as Sergeant First Class after 20 years of service. He served in Vietnam and spent time in Korea. He was awarded the following medals: the Bronze Star for Meritorious Achievement in ground operations against hostile forces, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Good Conduct Medal with six loops and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Cecilia Hagan in 1990.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Ella Houston Hagan ; a son, Mark A. Hagan, Jr. of Easton, PA; four daughters, Margaret Lorraine Robinson of Denver, CO; Loretta Lynn Bordner of Bennett, CO, Barbara Kathleen Judish of Denver, CO, and Patricia Elaine Edgell of Owensboro; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard Hagan of Owensboro and Francis Hagan of Atlanta; and a sister, Margaret Stricula of Chicago, IL..

Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery with full military honors provided by Ft Campbell and VFW Post 696. Visitation will be from 2:30-6:30P.M. on Monday, June 21, 2004 at Glenn Funeral Home and after 8:30 A.M. on Tuesday. The Rosary will said at 6:30 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
