Mark Scott Christie Sr.

Mark Scott Christie Sr., 57, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday June 12, 2024, at his home. He was born on September 23, 1966, in Russellville, KY, to Bobby Thomas Christie and Cecelia Marie Freeman Christie. Mark was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed working on his family farm, and on many others, and he loved hunting and guns, becoming a real marksman. He was very well known in Owensboro for working nightlife security. Most of all, Mark was a family man, loving husband, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cecelia Marie Christie; and two infant sons.

Mark is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandy Christie; his son, Mark Christie Jr. (Krista); his father, Bobby Christie; grandchildren, Jacob, Justise, Dixon, and Blakely; a brother, Michael Thomas Christie; and a daughter, Jasmine Nicole Christie. 

The funeral service for Mark Christie Sr. will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Dave Baldridge officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
