Mark C. Bratcher

Mark C. Bratcher, 53, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at his home after a 3 year battle with colon cancer. He was born on February 27, 1961 in Daviess County to the late R.C. and Norma Bratcher.

Mark graduated from Daviess County High School in 1979 and earned an Associates degree in Business from Western Kentucky University. He was co-owner of R.C. Bratcher Welding, Automotive, and Radiator Service was a co-owner of Beef 'O'Brady's. and attended Owensboro Christian Church.

Mark was a devoted husband, caring brother, loving uncle, supportive boss, and an amazing friend to so many people. His life was driven by his willingness to be there for others. He centered his life around his family especially his nephews and nieces.

Mark is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Debbie Bratcher, 2 precious dogs, Bandit and Callie; four brothers, Gary (Jane) Bratcher, Barry (Stacy) Bratcher, Steve (Susan) Bratcher, and Greg (Meg) Bratcher all of Owensboro; nephews, Nick Bratcher, Logan Bratcher, Brian Thompson, Kyle Thompson, Luke Bratcher, Thomas Wilkey, Zac Bratcher, and Chip Taylor; nieces, Amanda Bratcher, Shelly Zielke, Leah Settles, Lauren Estes, Caroline Bratcher, Ella Bratcher, and Mollie Bratcher.

A special thank you to Mike and Vickie Filbin and to Dr. Jeffrey Hofer for all their support, love, and care during these past few weeks.

Services will be at 12pm Wednesday June 18, 2014 at Owensboro Christian Church. Steve Cripps and Kevin Brimner will officiate. Entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum following the service. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Tuesday June 17, 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 10am until time of service on Wednesday at the church.
