Marjorie Louise Stewart

Marjorie Louise Stewart, 87, of Lewisport, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born August 23, 1928 in Detroit, MI to the late Archie and Golda Thornberry McIntyre. She was one of the oldest members of Yelvington Baptist Church having served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. Marjorie was retired from General Electric after 38 years of service, chaired it's Christmas Fund each year, and also served in a leadership capacity as a union steward. She was an avid sports fan. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jay Stewart on June 18, 2007.

Surviving are her sons, Dale Stewart and wife Jane, Allan Stewart and wife Martha, her daughter, Jane Hatfield and husband Art, seven grandchildren, Mike Stewart and wife Teresa, Emily Bosley, Zack Stewart, Seth Stewart, Jennifer Vogel and husband, Chris, Jenny Rockwell and husband Dustin, and Katie Staggs, nine great grandchildren, Jay, Mikey, Vera, Eva, Zeke, Katy, Logan, Peyton, and Ben, a brother, Billy McIntyre, a sister-in-law, Joyce Jarvis, and her caregiver Yvonne Hall.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 28, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
