Marjorie Birkheimer Gray

November 22, 1916 — February 11, 2011

Marjorie Birkheimer Gray, 94 of Owensboro, passed away peacefully, Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Carmel Home. She was born in Jane Lew, WVA on November 22, 1916, to the late Clam and Pearl Shriver. She was a member of the Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church, and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling and being with family and loved life to the fullest.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Pete Gray.

Survivors include her son, George Birkeimer and his wife, Linda of Owensboro; grandchildren, Kimberly Hagan and her husband, Tommy, Julia Pearl and her husband, Frank, and James Birkeimer and his wife, Dawn; five great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation for friends and family will be 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Services will be private and burial will be in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WVA. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff and sister's at the Carmel Home for their wonderful care. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carmel Home, 2501 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, KY 42303.
