Marjorie D. Davis

Marjorie D. Davis, 91, of Owensboro, Kentucky, died Monday, January 18, 2011, at Owensboro Place. She was born in Muhlenberg County to the late Elmer and Ethel Mayes Devine, was a member of First Baptist Church in Central City, and was a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Davis; son, Edwin Donald Howerton, Sr.; and sister, Dorothy Field.

Survivors include her son John Howerton, Jr., and his wife Ilene of Owensboro; grandchildren, Susan Howerton-Jackson, John Howerton, III, Doug Howerton, Barry Howerton, Don Howerton, Jr., and Terry Howerton; brothers, Elmer Devine and Jerry Devine; eight great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be on Thursday at Noon in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Central City, Kentucky.
