Marion Clayton Richeson, 87, formerly of 2556 Westwood Drive, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville. He was born March 12, 1929 in Ohio Co., to the late John R. and Early Mae Bartlett Richeson. Marion was retired from Modern Welding after 20 years of service and was a U. S. Army veteran. He had formerly attended the Salvation Army and enjoyed gardening, and in his younger years, farming and raising rabbits and chickens. Marion was also preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Mae Richeson on March 4, 2004, three daughters, Sondja Diane Sosh, Glenda Fay Henry, and Martine Chandler, a grandson, Timothy Michael Richeson, a granddaughter, Lori Ann Sosh, and brothers and sisters, Donald Ray Richeson, Bill Richeson, Margaret Baize, Louise Leach, Lethal Leach, Betty Henderson, and Annabelle Renfrow.
Surviving are sons, Michael Richeson and wife Catherine of Owensboro and Marion Eugene Richeson and wife Charlotte of Owensboro, daughter, Darlene Frobeter and husband Gary, three grandchildren, Shelly Libs, Charlie Richeson, and Casey Richeson, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and two brothers, J. R. Richeson and Hilton Richeson, both of Owensboro.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 9, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 8:30 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
