Marion Albin OBryan

Marion Albin O'Bryan Jr, 72, of Owensboro, went home to the Lord on January 22, 2015. He was born in Daviess County on January 14, 1943 to Elizabeth Oberst O'Bryan and Marion Albin O'Bryan, Sr. Mr. O'Bryan was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church where he served as Eucharistic Minister. He attended Saint Thomas Seminary, was a graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School and Brescia University. Marion was an educator who taught in Meade County and for the Owensboro Diocese. In his later years he worked at The House of Bourbon. He was an avid UK basketball fan who enjoyed cooking and fishing.

Marion is preceded in death by his father Marion Albin O'Bryan, Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Therese Oberst O'Bryan; sister, Sister Rose Marita, Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph; brothers, H. Joseph (Maggie) O'Bryan and David E. (Trafta) O'Bryan and nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Michael, Jill, Dana, and Nathan.

A funeral mass will be held 9:30 am Monday January 26, 2015 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 1 pm until 4 pm on Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 9 am Monday at the Church. Prayers will be said at 4 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Internment will take place at a later date.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Brescia University.
