Marion F. Brown

Marion Florence Brown, 76, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born October 6, 1931 to the late John and Gertrude Michaels Edgerton in Cook County, IL. She was a member of the Lutheran Faith, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Eagles Club #2414. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching wrestling, and NASCAR.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Irvin Brown on April 5, 2000, a son, Ronald Edgerton on February 2, 2008, a daughter, Debbie Straney on May 16, 2000.

Survivors include her son, Johnny Brown and his wife, Linda of Maceo; her daughters, Janice Capps and her husband, Todd of Owensboro, Beverly Foreman and her husband, Harold of Masonville, son-in-law; "Shorty" Straney of Owensboro, daughter-in-law; Michalene Edgerton of Conway, AK; 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Edgerton of Kankakee, IL, two sisters, Beverly Iliff of Kankakee, IL, and Verna Paris of Steger, IL.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, and after 10:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
