Marilyn Moore Miller

Marilyn Miller, 84, of Owensboro, passed away on July 27, 2017 peacefully at her daughter's home. She was born December 27, 1932 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Howard and Mildred Niebrugge Moore. Marilyn worked for General Electric and MPD until she retired after 42 years, in the data processing department where she oversaw payroll. She also volunteered with Hospice of Western Kentucky for over 20 years. Marilyn attended First Church of the Nazarene for over 10 years, and then she attended Calvary Wesleyan Methodist which later became Wesleyan Christian Center. She loved her church and volunteered there often where she was treasurer and Sunday school teacher for over 30 years, and CYC director over 20 years.

Marilyn also had a great passion for her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she held very close to her heart and loved very deeply.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elza "Chick" Miller; and sister, Helen Weisberg.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Joelle Barnett and her husband Randy of Owensboro; son, Scott Miller of Owensboro; grandchildren, Angela Hall and her husband David, Melissa Barnett, Michelle Barnett, Bobby "B.J." Barnett Jr., Doug Barnett, Rebecca Barnett, and Kerrie Barnett; and great grandchildren, Rhiannon Blair, Torin Hall, Camille Osborne, Tyler Barnett and Xander Saint.

The funeral service will be 10 am Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Ron Meade, David Fall, Trevor Beers and Dan Tilley officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 3 till 8 pm and Saturday 8:30 till 10 am.
