Marietta Gannaway

July 28, 1918 — January 9, 2004

Marietta Gannaway, 85, formerly of Owensboro, died Friday, January 9, 2004 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. The McLean County native was a lifetime member of the Breckenridge Street United Methodist Church and with her husband had owned and operated Pauls Radio and Yamaha Sales and Service. She was very active in church activities and loved volunteering, especially with the Audobon Area Community Services and the Salvation Army. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wilson Gannaway.

She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Gordon of Rockport, IN and Pat Sampson of Louisville; a son, Rich Gannaway of Kansas City, KA; and five grandchildren, Grady Gordon, Tammy Jones, Leslie Pratt, Sunny Sampson, and Misty Parker.

Funeral service are 11:30 A.M. Monday, Janaury 12, 2004 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1-6 P.M. on Sunday and after 9 A.M. on Monday.
