Marie C. Harrison

Marie C. Harrison, 95, of Owensboro died here Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Born in Sanford, FL on October 25, 1922, she graduated from Ketterlinus High School in St. Augustine, FL in 1940. Mrs. Harrison graduated as a registered nurse from the Riverside Hospital School of Nursing where she had received the J. Webster Merritt Scholarship. She had been an active member of First Presbyterian Church since 1946 and was a former member of the Daviess County Medical alliance and the Home and Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Byron Harrison in 1979, her parents Arthur Lee Campbell, Sr. and Camille Campbell, her brother Arthur Lee Campbell, Jr, and her sister Grace Harris.

Mrs. Harrison is survived by her children, Lee Harrison and his wife Karen of Birmingham, Sally Marie Byrd and her husband Ed of Charlotte, and Leslie Harrison and his wife Vicki of Owensboro; her grandchildren Camille Harrison, Codie Lingle and Grace Harrison, all of Owensboro and Byron Harrison of Birmingham; and 4 great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service of committal, under the direction of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
