Marie S. Edwards

Marie S. Edwards, 87, of Iowa City, IA (Formerly of Owensboro), died December 27, 2002 at the Oaknoll Retirement Residence in Iowa City. The Ware, MA native was a retired hairdresser and homemaker. She was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church, the church choir, sang in the Messiah each Christmas, enjoyed playing the
piano, and was a Girl Scout Leader and seamstress. She enjoyed music, helping people, birds, animals (especially dogs) and travelling, camping and giving parties.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Monte Waldo Edwards in 1987.

She is survived by a son, Gary Edwards of McLean, VA; a daughter, Patricia Edwards of Iowa City, IA; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 1 P.M. Friday, January 3, 2003 at the Settle Memorial United Methodist Church with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.
