Marie Bernadette Cormier

Sister Marie Bernadette Cormier, 94, a Sister of the Lamb of God, in her 44th year of religious life, passed from this world to eternal life on September 14, 2010. Sr. Marie Bernadette gave many years of service to her religious community as a homemaker and seamstress. She also cared for a child for five years and helped with the parish mailings. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her gentle manner, her warm and friendly smile and her ability to listen with compassion to others. She was a native of Massachusetts.

Survivors include two nephews, Paul and David Cormier; two nieces, Noreen Reynolds and Marion Abbott; several other nieces and nephews and her religious community of sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Catholic Church where Father Tony Jones will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at the Sister's residence, 2063 Wyandotte Ave, Owensboro. Prayers will be said at 5 p.m. Friday by Father John Vaughn at the residence. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
