Marie Boyd

Marie Boyd, 97, of Owensboro, died Sunday, March 12, 2017, at her residence. She was born in Ohio County to the late Oscar and Bertha Johnson Sosh, had retired from General Electric after 40 years and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed word finds and reading, especially the bible. She was also preceded in death by her husband William H. Boyd and her siblings, Harold Sosh, James Sosh, Mae Williams, and Eloise Huffmaster.
Survivors include a son, Ronnie Boyd (Margaret) of Owensboro; grandson, William E. Boyd (Julie) of Philpot; four great-grandchildren; niece, Kathy Williams; a great-niece; two great nephews and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be 10 am Wednesday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 9 am.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
