Marian Ruth Turner, 99 of Owensboro, passed away on April 2, 2011 at Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Daviess County to the late James and Blanche Barr Turner and preceded in death by her sister Louise Roberts.
She was a lifelong active member of Central Presbyterian Church where she served faithfully. She retired from Central Bank and Trust Company in 1976, and was active in the Business and Professional Women organization. She enjoyed traveling, listening to UK basketball games and NASCAR racing, and she played in two Bunco clubs until just recently.
She is survived by her two nephews, Taylor Roberts and wife Linda, and Ken Roberts and wife Martha, all of Owensboro; grandnephews/nieces David Roberts and wife Ashley, of Owensboro, Shelly Tyler and husband John Mark of Town & Country, Missouri, and Brad Roberts and wife Lindsay, and Cristi Violet, all of Lexington; great-grandnephews/nieces Aiden Roberts of Rockport, Sylvie and Silas Roberts of Lexington and Brandon Tapp and Torrey Tapp of Owensboro.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 5th at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Douglas Blair officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 5th from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Presbyterian Church, 426 St. Ann St., Owensboro, Kentucky, 42303
