Marian Patricia Riney

Marian Patricia Pat Riney, 68, of 2117 Brampton Court, Owensboro, died Monday, July 7, 2003, at her home. She was born in Daviess Co., Ky., the daughter of the late W. A. and Emogene Drury. She was retired as a primary grade school teacher from the Catholic School System after over 30 years. She had taught at Our Lady of Lourdes School, St. Stephen Cathedral School, and St. Angela Merici School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Brescia College and her Masters of Art in Education from Western Ky. University. She was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral and Immaculate Over 50s Club. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Thomas B. Riney, 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, William L. Bill and Dottie Riney of Owensboro and Phil Riney of Birmingham, Al., a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy (Riney) and David Holder of Newburgh, In., 4 Grandchildren, Tony, Luke, and Maggie Riney of Owensboro, and Alex Holder of Newburgh, 2 Nephews, Bryan Drury of Owensboro, and Robert Drury of California. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashley Holder on April 20, 1995, and a brother, Robert Drury in 1982.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 10, at St. Stephen Cathedral with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00-8:00 P.M. with prayers at 6:30 P.M. and after 8:30 A.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Assoc., 723 Harvard Dr., Owensboro, Ky. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
