Mari Stevena "Stevi" Boyles

Mari Stevena "Stevi" Boyles, born on March 11, 1974, in Nashville, Tennessee, peacefully departed this life on January 9, 2026, under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. Her life was a testament to positivity, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to those she loved.

Stevi graduated from Beech High School in 1992 and furthered her education at Western Kentucky University, from which she graduated in 1996. She dedicated her professional career to serving as a dental hygienist, working for numerous dental offices before retiring after fourteen fulfilling years at Dr. Russel Settle’s office. Her gentle touch and caring demeanor left a lasting impression on both colleagues and patients alike.

Stevi was an embodiment of positivity and inspiration, a testament to her remarkable character. She approached every challenge with grace and determination, including her courageous battle with SCA2, a debilitating disease that progressively took away her ability to work, walk, and speak, but never took away her faith. Stevi was a beacon of light and took all her challenges and turned them into steppingstones. Known for her uplifting spirit and infectious laughter, she had a unique ability to inspire people around her. A determined individual, Stevi accomplished remarkable feats, including her and her son, Jack, completing a 5K with her walker, which exemplified her strength and resilience. With a sense of humor that brightened many moments, she thoroughly enjoyed laughing, playing pranks, and bringing joy to others.

Entrenched in her faith, Stevi was a dedicated member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church, having accepted the Lord at a very young age. As the spiritual leader of her family, she shared her beliefs and values with those she loved, guiding them through life with unwavering support and love. Stevi was the proudest supporter of her two sons, who were her greatest joy and accomplishment. Her legacy of love and encouragement will undoubtedly live on through them.

Stevi is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lee and Frances Perry.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Max and Jack Boyles; parents, Marilou and Papa John; siblings, Leslee Mitchell and Jeremy Mitchell; sister-in-law, Kathy Mitchell; nieces, Amelia, Sophia, Ella and Florence Mitchell.

The funeral service for Stevi will be 4 PM Tuesday, January 13, at Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 12 PM until time of service at the church. Burial will take place at Hendersonville Cemetery on Wednesday, January 14, at 12 PM.
