Marguerite Beatrice Fentress, 96, of Maceo, went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2012. She was born in Germantown, Ohio to the late Peter and Anna Comer.
Marguerite was a loving and a dedicated mother who enjoyed cooking, stockcar racing, gardening and taking care of any cats and dogs that were in need of help. Marguerite and her late husband Paul Fentress owned and operated Home Bakery and Market on the corner of 4th and Center St and also opened the Owensboro Speedway in approximately 1943 to 1963.
She is survived by her children Dennis Fentress of Owensboro, and Patty Stevens (Bobby) of Falls of Rough; Sister Lillian C. Frick of Las Vegas; and grandchildren April Stevens and Amy Spence of Maceo, and Shawn Hayes of Nashville; and two great grandchildren .
Memorial contributions may be made to the Owensboro Daviess County Humane Society
