Marguerite Potts Campbell, 83, of Owensboro, died Wednesday July 9, 2014. She was born on January 21, 1931 to the late Lawrence H. and Lucille May Potts. Marguerite was a member of St. Pius Tenth Catholic Church . She was a devoted wife, mother, grand and great-grandmother who deeply loved her family.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her only daughter, Tammie Campbell Payne and a grandson, Gary Campbell.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, William H. Campbell, five sons; Gary (Judy) of Calhoun, Richard (Cathy) of Maceo, Jeff (Denise) of Owensboro, Denny (Jill) of Owensboro, Danny (Gail) of Owensboro, a brother; William J. Potts (Hattie) of Owensboro, 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Friends may visit with Marguerite's family Friday, July 11, 2014 from 3 until 8 pm at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and Saturday July 12, 2014 from 11 am until 1 pm. Prayers will be at 7 pm on Friday. A funeral mass will be conducted at 2 pm on Saturday 12, 2014 at St. Pius Tenth Catholic Church with Rev. Tony Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
