Margie Jean Ward

Margie Jean Ward, 59, of Utica, passed away June 1, 2014. She was born to the late James and Myrl Horton on Dec. 28, 1954. Margie was a dedicated employee at Concord Cleaners for 22 years and most recently held the title of Assistant Manager. When away from work, she enjoyed watching UK sports, spending time planting flowers, and spending time in her new home. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her furry four-legged companion Sadie.

She was preceded in death by brothers Bub (Faye) Horton and Roger Horton.

Survivors include a son, Larry Ward; sisters, Lorie (Jerry) Ward; Bonnie Horton, Shirley (Ray) Singleton, Betty (Mark) McDonald, and Joyce (Roy) Westerfield; goddaughter Ceara Smith and granddaughter, Allie Raymer, several nieces and nephews, and her family at Concord Cleaners.

Services will be 10AM Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 4-8PM Tuesday and from 9AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at New Bethel Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
