Margaret Yolanda Yewell

Margaret Yolanda Yewell, 87, of Heritage Place Assisted Living, formerly of 222 East 21st Street, Owensboro, Kentucky, died Monday, May 7, 2007, at Owensboro Medical Health System. Margaret Yolanda Berardo was born February 1, 1920, in Owensboro to the late Nick and Eva Ray Berardo and was married to the late Edwin H. Yewell, May 31, 1956. She was a lifetime member of Buena Vista Baptist Church, a legal secretary and worked for 40 years as a secretary at Glenmore Distillery. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Edwin H. Yewell, on March 1, 1997.

Mrs. Yewell is survived by her step-son, David L. Yewell and his wife Jean Eidson Yewell of Owensboro; a step-daughter, Phyllis Yewell Adams and her husband James J. Adams of Virginia Beach, VA; her grandchildren, Jason L. Yewell and his wife Mary Kaye Yewell of St. Louis, MO, Emily Yewell Volin and her husband Curtis E. Volin of Marietta, GA, Martha Carole Adams and Jeffrey Yewell Adams, both of Virginia Beach, VA; and her great-grandchildren, Yewell E. Volin and Vera Elizabeth Volin of Marietta, GA.

Services will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Buena Vista Baptist Church or to the St. Joseph Childrens Peace Mission.
